Ya win some, ya lose some!!

After a surprising losing series with the Brewmeisters, we are at our hours sailing with the Pirates. Molina put on a good show with his strip tease on home plate. We lost our #1 seat to the Cubs but we will get it back.

You may have noticed a few less posts. I have put some attention to my fantasy leagues. I will still try to post, just be patient

Don't forget Chicago is Completely Useless By September!

I had a great birthday on the 21st. I got my Pujols away jersey I've been wanting, and I got my old baseball number put on my home jersey my daughter got me for Father's Day last year. I also got an OU baseball jersey to add to my collection. Oh yeah, I got a win against the Brewers.

My boys in white are still doing great this year. Glad to see Glaus go long. Pretty happy with pitching too. Wellemeyer going 2-0, who knew?

Dode award goes to Pedophile Roger Clemens

You're Still The One...

Still on top as of this post. Still the best team in baseball. Although the Giants game isn't going the way I would like it. Because I have to get up in the morning, I will not be watching the rest of the game. I will however be watching ESPN Sports Center in the morning to check the scores.

Wainright is still getting his feet wet for the season and I haven't given up on him yet. Isringhausen is one of the best closers around. Pujols need to just have Tommy Johns surgery, go on rehab, and get back on top. We can't all be like this guy...

This posts Dode of the Day award goes to 3C in my fantasy league. Those coons need to be knocked back down a few steps.

Peace

Back On Top Where We Belong!

After that potential winner was rained out, we lost our first game. Then we win four straight to put us at the top of the NL Central. I know it's early but I got to praise my boys while I can. I don't want to jinx them. By the way, I have still only watched three innings of the entire season. The games are either not televised or on while I'm at work.

We are going to try something new here at the Cardinal Fan. My friend "The Cub Fan" has introduced me to a new term of endearment, "dode". An inside joke if you will, the new award for dorks, dummies and dingbats, will be the "Dode of the Day" or "Dode Dejoeur".

Our first Dode of the Day goes to the entire Detroit Tigers team for being the best baseball team on paper, and the worst team on record. (0-5)

Home Opener Rained Out!!!

That freakin figures. I wait all day at work, make fun of the loser teams my colleagues root for, an come home to a new HDTV to watch a four run lead be called in the third for rain. Opening day is supposed to be hot dogs, cold ones, sunshine and all the baseball you can watch. Not "here is a little taste of what you have been missing for five months" just to take it away. That is a dirty little trick God.

This is the first season opener rained out in St. Louis since 1994 and the fourth ever.

Can't wait for Opening Day!

Hey Cardinal fans, couldn't wait for Opening Day to post. I got my caps dusted and my jersey sent off for numbers and name. I'm ready for some Baseball.

Looks like a complete overhaul of the team. Some notable deletions include So Taguchi, Jim Edmonds, David Eckstein, Scott Rolen, and Scott Spiezio. The usual suspects include Albert Pujols, Yadier Molina, Chris Duncan, and Rick Ankiel.

I must say, I do not know much about Troy Glaus. His numbers are much like Rolen's but I wonder if he can field like Rolen or stay healthy.

I bought some fantasy baseball mags today. Me and my BFF "The Lone Met Fan" will probably get into a different site than last year, but I will still use ESPN.com for my secondary league.

I will post again closer to the draft.

We have retired the Sniffer award because Clemens won the lifetime award. We will introduce a new award later.

See ya.
